Anupama Kundoo est architecte et enseignante-invitée à l’ensa Nantes où elle intervient dans le studio « Utopies Métropolitaines ». Elle proposera dans le cadre de ce studio un projet court en septembre.
Architect Anupama Kundoo presents her work while discussing the potential of architecture to engage with, and address the complex intersections of urbanisation, people, technologies, resources and environment within the context of growing affordability issues, not only in money terms. Her practice, the result of her quest for knowledge to build appropriately, also considers every project as an opportunity to build knowledge and build community in order to empower people in the process of achieving affordable built spaces.
Anupama Kundoo’s architectural practice, started in 1990, demonstrates a strong focus on material research to achieve architecture of low environmental impact that is also socio-economically beneficial. Kundoo has had the experience of working, researching, and teaching architecture in a variety of cultural contexts across the world: TU Berlin, AA London, TU Darmstadt, Parsons New School of Design New York, UQ Brisbane, Cornell University, and is currently Professor at UCJC Madrid. Kundoo graduated from Sir JJ College of Architecture, Bombay and obtained her Ph.D. from TU Berlin. Her research-oriented practice was exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2012 and 2015.
